An interview with Oprah is also reportedly in the works…

The last couple of years have no doubt been beyond crazy for former pop sensation Britney Spears. Following being at the centre of the #FreeBritney movement in 2020 and lodging a very public lawsuit against her father Jamie Spears in 2021, all eyes have been on on the fallen star, the world intently watching on as she’s fought to break free of the conservatorship that ruled her life for almost 15 years.

The story seemed to have a happy ending, however, with Spears ultimately winning her bid for freedom in November last year and being removed from her father’s control. But it seems she’s not completely ready to turn the page however, as the star has just inked a deal for a tell-all memoir, to set the record straight on exactly what life was like under the infamous conservatorship.

The new book will cover it all, from being forced to tour the world to losing access to her personal and financial affairs and even not getting the chance to remarry. It all seems too crazy to be true, and of course, publishing companies quickly swarmed in, ultimately resulting in a $15 million USD ($20 million AUD) deal from Simon & Schuster for her to tell her side of the story.

Although there are no details as to when we can expect to see the memoir hit shelves, Spears teased that she’d “set things square on @Oprah” in a now-deleted Instagram video from November, so it looks like answers aren’t too far off.
