With a fourth album set to release towards the end of this year, we are now given a glimpse of the new sound that is Brooke Fraser and oh do we like it. The new single ‘Psychosocial’ intertwines distorted vocals, forceful beats and dramatical back ups which compliment so seamlessly, that all plays to this new powerful sound.

With over a decade of experience and hailing originally from New Zealand, Fraser is not a foreigner to success. From the humble beginnings with the release of ‘What to Do with Daylight’, she has been number 1. on the New Zealand charts and has gone seven times platinum. Then to relocate to Los Angeles and develop her sound even further. In 2010 Fraser dropped the single ’Something in the Water’ which put her on the map in the International Charts.

“We tend to see what we want to see, which may sometimes be the exact opposite, or inversion – of the reality of things”

We can only hope that this new powerful sound is something we can hope to hear in the rest of her new forth coming album. With the likes of David Kosten (Bat For Lashes, Everything Everything) at the helm producing it, we are sure it will not be anything but.
