We’re willing to bet you have absolutely no idea who FastMoney Goon, Spinabenz, Whoppa Wit Da Choppa, or Yungeen Ace are. But they’re blowing up quick, and it’s all thanks to someone you definitely do know, Vanessa Carlton and her 2001 classic ‘1000 Miles’. It was a song that helped soundtrack angsty teens around the world as they were looking for hope, love and direction at the start of the new millennium. It also was the song that played in that iconic White Chicks scene with Terry Crews, but we’re getting ahead of ourselves.
Okay, so you’d think a song like that would remain pretty untouched and immortalised in time right? We thought (and hoped so), but the rappers mentioned above had other plans, sampling it for one of the filthiest hip hop diss tracks in recent memory, titled ‘Who I Smoke.’
Thus, because of the overall catchiness of Vanessa Carlton’s original, we can’t help but kinda get down to ‘Who I Smoke,’ which is absolutely fucked if you read into the lyrics. From making countless threats of violence to literally dissing their enemies dead friend, the song is properly cooked in every sense of the word, but because it’s got that damn piano loop, it’s got us so conflicted. It’s also just such a trip hearing such lyrics and subject matter over a song like that, the clashing of themes and topics honestly stopping us from having an overall opinion on the song.
But alas, the internet is loving it, countless memes taking the piss out of the track being generated by the bucketload. But don’t just take out word for it, check out the song and accompanying memes below.

To everyone perplexed at seeing Yungeen Ace rapping over Vanessa Carlton, I say welcome to the era where Flint/Detroit, South Florida, and the DMV have been getting weird for the last 4 or so years.

Admitting various felonies that could potentially put you in jail over a Vanessa Carlton sample is just wildly hilarious to me. https://t.co/nd1f4UPmnT
