The Sunshine Coast trio have moved into the digital age.

After releasing their anthemic tune ‘Pub Feed’’ just a couple of months back, shed-rockers The Chats have today expanded their aesthetic and themes beyond suburban Australiana, tackling the dangers of the dark web with new single and clip ‘Identity Theft’. The tune, which contains an addictively shouty chorus and deliciously simple bass-lead verses, follows the story of singer Eamon Sandwith’s foray into the world of purchasing illegal drugs online.

The clip, which was directed by Matt Weston sees the lads act out the lyrics with their trademark tongue-in-cheek performances, stepping into the Tron-like digital realm. And that’s not all, they’ve also announced a mammoth 21-date Aus/NZ tour that’ll be happening in support of the single. Have a geez at the dates below and head here for more info:
