The new series, produced by journo Kaitlyn Sawrey, is the Novocastrian’s first major release since his appearance on DREAMS’ 2018 record No-One Defeats Us and his own solo album Talk from 2015.

Fittingly titled ‘After All These Years,’ the first episode sees the muso talk about everything from his rise to superstardom with Silverchair to his struggles with fame and all the classic topics you’d expect from a rock legend. It’s a pretty organic listen as well, listening as completely off the cuff and what you’d expect to hear if you were just kicking back with Johns at his Newcastle home.

In a pretty cool move, he’s got a bunch of music mates on board for the first instalment, with artists like Tame Impala, Paul Mac, Natalie Imbruglia and Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan all popping in to talk about their relationship with Johns. Other musos set to make appearances include former Blink-182 frontman DeLonge, Empire Of The Sun’s Luke Steele and EDM producer What So Not.
