Check Out This Unseen Footage Of Tame Impala Making ‘Innerspeaker’
"It was the most intense storm..."

How do you know if you’re watching a genius at work?

Who would have thought back in 2011 that a four-piece from Perth, lead by a long-haired uni dropout would go on the become one of the most influential outfits of the this century? Oh, you did? Get outta here. Watching the below unseen footage of Kevin Parker, Nicholas Allbrook, Jay Watson and company, captured by Matt Sav, it’s hard to believe that these babyfaced fellas would go on to be career musicians, let alone bonafide superstars… But here we are, and the now-platinum record is being recognised as the beginning of the Parker years, wherein everything Kev touches turns to sonic gold.

To celebrate Innerspeaker turning 10, the band have also dropped a truckload of new merch including a deluxe 4 LP vinyl pressing that comes with:

– A collage of album sketches
– An unearthed, side-long jam
– New mixes of tracks off the original album
– Instrumentals
– A deluxe 40-page booklet

It pretty much sounds like a must-have piece of memorabilia that any real Tame will want sitting amongst their collection of setlists, locks of Kev’s hair and threads of his various scarves. It’s certainly got us excited for the postponed tour which will be kicking back off in Auckland in December, before swinging around to Syd, Bris, Melbs, Adelaide and Perth. Check the dates below:
