Dark Lane Demo Tapes was unable to take the top spot on the US Billboard charts.

Has anyone heard from Drake recently? Someone might wanna go check on him, with Billboard reporting today that his decade-long domination of the charts may be coming to a close… well… kinda. The Canadian rapper’s latest record – which is made up entirely of b-sides – Dark Lane Demo Tapes has failed to take the No. 1 position on the Billboard charts, with country artist Kenny Chesney’s Here and Now wearing the top spot crown.

Since his 2010 album Thank Me Later Drake has debuted at No.1 for each of his eight following LPs, until now. You can hardly feel sorry for the guy though. Despite coming runner up, he will still go on to sell thousands of copies and gain millions of streams – not too shabby for a bunch of b-sides, right?
