Out of all the nostalgia tours that have hit Australia over the past few years – and yes, there’s been a fuckload – this might just be the weirdest and best. Alien Ant Farm, Wheatus, Hoobastank, CKY and Lit will be joining forces for a tour-de-force of throwback rock, wallet chains and three quarter shorts.
Alien Ant Farm never quite re-climbed the heights reached by their colossal cover of ‘Smooth Criminal’ of Michael Jackson, while the same can be said about Wheatus and their famous Iron Maiden namedrop on ‘Teenage Dirtbag,’ but both bands will be performing on the Sing It Loud tour hitting Australia this September. Rounding up the lineup are Hoobastank, CKY and Lit. A lot of kids have been using ‘lit’ as an adjective lately, but that has literally nothing to do with this band. Sill, they’re playing, so that’s something.
Promoters have also stressed that there’ll be a different running order each night to mix things up, so make sure you head down early or you might miss Alien Ant Farm, and that would be hard to cope with. Does the singer still have a reverse mohawk? Only time will tell. Tickets go on sale from Friday, April 2 and you can cop them right here. Dates below:
