After Peking Duk resurrected Darude’s signature anthem ‘Sandstorm’ by dropping it at mega-festivals like Stereosonic, the single reappeared on the Australian charts a whole 16 years after its initial release. This led Darude to being billed on Future Music Festival in 2015, and the trip was such a success that he’s coming back to do it once more. Kicking off at Christchurch over in New Zealand, Darude will then be flying across the Tasman to complete eight dates in Australia, with more to be added soon.
Still, Darude has been keeping anything but quiet since the resurrection of Sandstorm, releasing his album Moments to critical acclaim in 2015. His first full-length album in eight years saw him explore with a range of electronic sounds from his familiar trance territory to dubstep and hands-in-the-air house.
