With his preference for shoeys and the C-word, Dillon Francis may as well be an Australian citizen.

Hell, the producer even has his own Australian alter-ego named Trevor, so it’s hardly a surprise that he’s planning an Australian return after selling out shows on his April 2016 tour. While we don’t have any concrete dates locked in yet, Dillon said that it’s going to happen “early next year” in an interview with Linda Marigliano on Triple J – so that already gives us something to look forward to in 2017!

“I don’t know exactly when, but I want to come to Australia at least twice a year if I can… It’s just so much fun down there. You guys have the same sensibilities and humour as I do,” he said. After all, isn’t this the most Aussie and postcard-worthy image you’ve ever seen in your entire life? Bask in the greatness:

On top of the touring plans, Dillon also highlighted plans for his next album – saying that he’s “seven to eight songs” deep into the project. He also suggests that the album will be more cohesive than his sprawling debut Money Sucks, Friends Rule.

“Right now I’m working on an album; I guess it’s an LP… I actually want to work with more Latin artists and do more stuff that’s Spanglish, moombahton style. I just really wanna make something that’s cohesive because the last album that I made I feel like it was really all over the place,” he said.

It looks like 2017 is going to be a busy time for Dillon, so buckle up. In the meantime, listen to his latest Will Heard collaboration ‘Anywhere’ and jump into his Triple J interview here:
