Diplo has finally shed some light on the future of Jack Ü.

Since debuting at Ultra Music Festival in 2013, Diplo and Skrillex’s creative baby, Jack Ü blessed us with plenty of wonky electronic bangers that crossed into the pop realm. There was ‘Take Ü There’ with Kiesza and of course, ‘Where Are Ü Now’ with Justin Bieber, which was gloriously covered by the one and only Craig David. Then, in 2016, Skrillex said in a since-deleted tweet that there would be no more Jack Ü for ‘a long long time.’

Of course, that news was followed by rumours of beef between the two bass super-producers. OWSLA artist Slushii hinted at some discontent between the two, while they also unfollowed each other on social media, which is basically the modern day equivalent of flipping someone off. Of course, this was all unsubstantiated, but the silence from the Jack Ü camp didn’t make things any better.

Now, Diplo has finally opened up and addressed the future of Jack Ü. Speaking to Argentinian publication La Nacion, the Mad Decent head honcho said that “Skrillex is working on a new album. I think that after that and the new album that we are preparing with Major Lazer, we will make music together again.”

So there you have it – more belters from Jack Ü seems likely judging from Diplo’s latest commentary. Fingers crossed it eventuates:
