Their fourth studio album How Many Dreams? will be out March 31st next year.

Ok, ok, ok, maybe that album could come a little sooner… But we have a feeling the Sydney trio will be dropping a series of singles in the lead up. Following on from ‘I Don’t Need To Hide’, we now have the second taste of the record, in the form of the typically huge-chorused sunny single ‘Everybody’s Saying Thursday’s The Weekend’.

The track feels like it was made for the huge festival stages and theatres in Europe and Aus where the band have found a happy home in recent years. They sold a whopping 65 thousand tickets in their last tour of the UK alone, and are currently wrapping up a run of shows supporting indie rock stalwarts Kasabian in Europe.

“‘Everybody’s Saying Thursday’s The Weekend’, we’ve all thought it, we’ve all felt it. This song is about letting go of the things that weigh us down and embracing the future with a sense of optimism. Stepping in the ‘Right light in the dark times’,” guitarist and songwriter Johnny Took says of the track.

You may also notice Heartbreak High star Gemma Chua-Tran in the video, which was directed by Joel Burrows, and set in a fairytale-like rural oasis. Head here to buy/stream the track, here to pre-save How Many Dreams?, and peep the tracklist below:
