It’s the second taste of music from his Smooth Big Cat record, which is due out July 12th

Fan’s of Angus Stone AKA Dope Lemon, rejoice. The Byron Bay muso has today returned with a drugged out new song and clip, that will blow your mind. ‘Salt & Pepper’ is reminiscent of the minimal psych-blues of legendary British group Cymande, with Stone’s flawless crooning locking right into overall themes of the track perfectly, making for some incredibly smooth sailing.

The visual accompaniment, which was directed by award-winning cinematographer Stefan Jose, sees a limo driver (Stone) light up and trip further and further into a hallucinatory journey. It’s just the kind of limo you’d want to get a lift to down in – not that we condone taking drugs in any kind of way…

Stone, who played every instrument, recorded and produced the track says its a tune you play at a special time in the evening. “It’s a beers around the pool table at midnight tune. Blue moon music. It’s a song for when the eve is about to turn into something special. Kick back and let this one sail you into a good place my friends,” he says of the track.
