We can’t think of a better way to kick off Sessions Surf Festival than at a show with Dope Lemon. The man’s ability to write slick, salty groovers that feel like they could soundtrack any surf video featuring a long break and a sunset is just what we need as we head into a week of art, film, and surfing as part of the event.

With his Golden Wolf album well and truly unleashed onto the world and the surprise Groovin The Moo show booked, we had a feeling we weren’t going to get another chance to see Dope Lemon for a long time (at least after his run of Canada and US shows), but the gods of music have been kind to us… Who knows, maybe playing at Miami Marketta sweetens the deal for a guy with a song called ‘Miami’:
