The rapper and producer is reportedly in a stable condition.

Currently in the midst of an ugly divorce from estranged wife Nicole Young, rapper, producer and businessman Dr. Dre was rushed to the intensive care unit in L.A. Hospital, just hours ago, having suffered a suspected brain aneurysm, according to TMZ. The 55-year-old is now reportedly recovering and his team have issued the following statement:

“Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes. I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team. I will be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love!!”

This comes during his highly publicised divorce, which has recently seen Young request $2 million USD per month in the form of temporary spousal support on top of $5 million USD in legal fees. Though no direct link has been made, suggestions that the stress of his divorce may have contributed to Dre’s current condition, with high blood pressure being the leading cause of a subarachnoid hemorrhaging which can lead to aneurysms.
