We’ve been waiting on OVO visuals for a minute, but Drake is taking things one step further by going to work on a visual project to accompany the release of his fourth studio album, Views.

On Sunday night, Drake posted two screenshots from a short film titled Please Forgive Me to his Instagram account, which will reportedly accompany album favourites like ‘One Dance’ and ‘Child’s Play’, which have previously been shot in South Africa and Atlanta respectively.

However, this isn’t the first time Drake has taken to film to up the ante of his music, releasing a miniature piece of cinema titled Jungle in 2015 following the release of his mixtape turned album If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late. Since the release of Views in April of this year, Drake is yet to put out any videos to accompany the album – unless you count the memetastic visuals for bonus track ‘Hotline Bling’ last year.

We’re sure that Please Forgive Me will push the success of Views to even greater heights. Since its release, Drake’s latest album has been streamed over a billion times, and its singles ‘One Dance’ and ‘Controlla’ have a strong presence on the Billboard Hot 100. Only time will tell if Drake can muster up enough likes and listens with his new visual project Please Forgive Me to parallel the critical and commercial success of Beyonce’s film epic Lemonade.

In the meantime, check out Drake starring in the freshly released video for ‘Why You Always Hatin’ alongside YG:
