The record will include the viral hit ‘Hotline Bling’ as a bonus, while the house-infused ‘One Dance’ and underwhelming Jay Z & Kanye West collaboration ‘Pop Style’ are also featured on the 20-track effort. Drizzy is set to premiere the record on his OVO Sound Radio program via Beats 1 before the official release on April 29.
Drake is then set to hit the road from July on a mammoth co-headline tour with his What A Time To Be Alive partner Future. Given Drake’s consistency throughout his career, we’re expecting this record to be excellent – filled with everything from club bangers to dancefloor burners to introspective slwo-motion jams that you’re supposed to play at 3:00am.
If you live in Brisbane, The TBC Club will be holding a Drake dedication party in celebration of the album’s release on Friday, with Sydney’s own Nes taking control of the decks alongside TBC’s in-house selectors. If you live in Sydney, local rap bros Halfway Crooks will also be holding a night in honour of Champagne Papi at The Basement, with GCoo and Matka joining residents Levins & Franco.
