Eliza & co. serve up some delightful power pop for your Tuesday.

There’s not much that we can say about the latest offering from Eliza & The Delusionals that you won’t get from the first listen of the track. ‘Falling For You’ feels like it belongs on the soundtrack to your favourite 90s teen drama, complete with soaring vocals, a little bit of sexy sax work, and more hooks than… ahhh.. Captain Hook’s closet?

“’Falling For You’ was a personal favourite from the get go for me,” Eliza says of the tune. “There’s just something about the driving beat and the soaring melodies that I love. We knew we wanted to experiment with saxophone for this record, and this song felt like the perfect track for that. I think it has so much emotion to it, and it’s such a beautiful part of the song. To me, lyrically it’s about not wanting to fall down the rabbit hole of falling in love but you just can’t help it.”

The accompanying visuals shot by Tom Carroll see the band strutting their stuff outdoors with a washed-out glow only adding to the dreamy textures of the tune:

The song is only the first part of the EATD good news this Tuesday, with the group announcing that their sophomore album Make It Feel Like The Garden will be dropping on the 19th of July via Cooking Vinyl. And if ‘Falling For You’ is anything to go by, you can prepare to be swooned into oblivion – pre-save it here.

Want to catch them live? You’d better try and score a ticket to The Snuts Aus shows this week where they will be supporting the Scottish outfit. Eliza & The Delusionals were so pumped to be jumping on board, they even covered ‘Gloria’:
