Produced by DJ Chardonnay of Wordlife/Motorik fame, the track is described as a “relentless racial pride anthem” that is sure to resonate with Australasians from Sydney to Brisbane to Tamworth. Despite this being his debut single, 24 Karat Kev makes some bold claims within his first ever bars – comparing himself to Jay Z and Spongebob Squarepants over Chardonnay’s mesmerising Asian beat that’ll make you feel like you’re in the heart of Paddy’s Markets.
The video was crafted by The Yee Boys – who are also frequent contributors to Life Without Andy, having additionally crafted animated videos and artwork for Zeds Dead, Diplo, Ivan Ooze, GG Magree, Ghostface Killah & more. Here, they take their filming prowess to locations in Sydney’s Chinatown, Chippendale and somebody’s backyard with a goon sack hanging off the clothesline.
