Charging strong for well over a decade, Festival of the Sun is returning in 2016 with a redhot lineup of local rock and rap talents to bless Port Macquarie.

Make full use of those Christmas holidays if you have them, because Festival of the Sun is bringing the mixed bill back this December 9 and 10 with a dual headliner of Gang of Youths and Seth Sentry. While Gang of Youths have been seemingly everywhere since Splendour In The Grass with the release of their new Let Me Be Clear EP, Seth Sentry has also proved himself to be a live favourite with his relentless performances which included a 50 date tour in 2015.

Also performing are our seasoned favourites Dune Rats, while the legendary Urthboy and L-Fresh The Lion will be representing the Elefant Traks stable. This event is All Ages, while children under 10 get in for free! Oh yeah, another thing: It’s BYO. Never pay $10 for a mid-strength beer at a festival ever again, and simply wheel in a couple of goon sacks instead. Tickets go on sale from Thursday September 1 right here, and at such a modest price and limited number available, we’re inclined to say that it’s gonna sell out pretty darn swiftly.
