Swiss Dank is a collective of Sydney selectors who place a particular emphasis on contemporary club rap – and with their latest party at The Cliff Dive, they’ll be celebrating the arrival of Travis Scott to Australia. Scott is here to perform at the Listen Out festival, and while that’ll be hitting Sydney next Saturday, you can warm the vocal pipes at this party dedicated to all things La Flame. Get familiar with Scott’s recently-released album Birds In The Trap McKnight, and yell all of your favourite punchlines with Swiss Dank.
By now, you know that I OH YOU have pretty good taste in music – they’ve signed some of Australia’s most hyped acts including Green Buzzard and Violent Soho, while they’ve also curated mixed bills for Red Bull Sound Select. Now, their monthly late night party returns, with VERSUS pinning some local heroes against each other in a battle for supremacy on the decks. Guests include Annie Bass Vs Luen and Christian Hack Vs the legendary Sam Macdonald.
Comfort Club state that they plan to “bring a new level of depth to our underground rave sanctuary” with their party hitting Tokyo Sing Song this Saturday. We’re all about underground raves – especially when they’re free – so prepare to mentally recline on the dancefloor with a long night of very deep, very free tunes courtesy of the newly-formed Menial Arts crew and many more. The Inner-West is lookin’ wild.
Sounds Of The Suburbs is taking over Cronulla once again this year, and as of yesterday, it’s officially sold out! You can try your luck with tickets on the Facebook event linked above, but with a line-up as solid as this, it’s no wonder that people are frothing over Cronulla’s answer to Coachella. DZ Deathrays, Peter Bibby and Wild Honey are on the bill, and let’s not forget that festival co-founder Aaron Girgis will be signing autographs – get there for your Sunday session.
