Drum and Bass is definitely having a moment in Australia, with more and more festivals and events incorporating DnB acts into their lineups, the most recent case being Electric Gardens Festival which sported acts like Wilkinson and My Nu Leng. As if answering every DnB/ electronica fan’s prayers, Aussie EDM god Flume took to Twitter the other day that he might have a DnB song in the works.
The word excited doesn’t even begin to describe how we’re feeling right now.

Talking about his deep love of DnB and of artists like Sub Focus in an interview on George FM last year, it was made abundantly clear that Harley is just a little bit in love with the genre. When asked if he would ever do a DnB track he replied “Fuck yeah”, before talking about the last song he did with Toro Y Moi being “A little drum & bass thing”.
That interview was posted last October, but Flume shared it on Twitter with a (I believe its a monocle) emoji just the other day, possibly teasing we might be getting blessed a certain track of the DnB persuasion?
Who knows, but it’s safe to say we’re bursting with excitement, hopefully ol’ mate gives the new track a spin when he comes back home for Splendour later this year.
