While Flume is still riding high from the release of his sophomore album Skin in May, he’s revealed that he’s already working on his next album – and we have a taste of his new material with an appetising teaser of new track ‘Heater’.

The preview has been released as Flume states his clear opposition to Sydney’s lockout laws, with ‘Heater’ accompanied by a video from the Keep Sydney Open movement. The group recently installed plaques across the city commemorating lost venues like Q Bar, Goodgod Small Club, The Flinders and The Lansdowne – with captions explaining how such venues spawned some of our biggest international stars like Flight Facilities, Alison Wonderland, Anna Lunoe, Peking Duk, RÜFÜS and of course, Flume himself. The video follows the Keep Sydney Open team as the plaques are put up in remembrance of Sydney’s once thriving nightlife.

You can preview ‘Heater’ below, and remember that there’ll be yet another Keep Sydney Open rally taking place on Sunday, October 9. While the initial rally drew up to 15,000 punters marching through city streets, we’re confident that Sydneysiders can inflate that number as more venues buckle under the pressure of the lockout laws. Watch the video below and bring your witty signs and banners to the march in October:
