The new record features unheard music from throughout the Grammy winner’s career…

Hot off winning triple j’s Hottest 100 for his hit ‘Say Nothing’ ft. MAY-A, acclaimed producer Flume has today released a surprise album. Titled Things Don’t Always Go The Way You Plan, the new offering from the international export is comprised of unheard tracks from throughout Flume’s career.

Culled from old laptops and hard drives, the record amounts to ten songs and features some hard-hitting collaborators, with the likes of former Preatures front woman Isabella Manfredi, US hip hop group Injury Reserve, Panda Bear and more all appearing on the project. Luckily, it seems that all eras of the Aussie mainstay’s ever-evolving sound are covered on Things Don’t Always Go The Way You Plan, with it spanning the last decade of the Flume project.

Whether you were a fan of the wonkiness of 2018 mixtape Hi, This Is Flume, the hip hop flavourings of 2016 single ‘Smoke & Retribution’, or even the iconic vocal ballads of ‘Say Nothing’ and ‘Never Be Like You’, the project features a little something for everyone.

It’s definitely a good day to be a Flume fan. Be sure to buy/stream Things Don’t Always Go The Way You Plan here.
