And to make the wait for the long-awaited follow up to 2019’s Hi This Is Flume go just a little bit quicker, the veteran producer has today dropped another single, titled ‘Sirens’ ft. Caroline Polachek.
The new offering is a glitchy creation similar to most recent single ‘Say Nothing’, but one of the slow-burn variety that takes its time nice and steady. Feature artist Caroline Polachek delivers some transcendent verses that strike a nice contrast to the various production layers, most notably on the hook as she throws down emotive lines like “And if I could” with a haunting resonance.
The accompanying visualiser sees Flume link up with frequent collaborator Johnathan Zawada for a fauna-inspired illustration that shifts and moves in response to the sonics. It’s definitely another solid offering from the 2016 Hot 100 winner as a whole, and has succeeded in increasing our excitement for Palaces. Check it out below.
