After taking home just about every ARIA award going, Flume’s been awarded one of the music world’s most prestigious honours – a GRAMMY – for Best Dance/Electronic Album at the 56th Annual Awards in LA just now at a pre-awards ceremony! Flume looked like he just had a heart attack as he accepted the award, saying the win was “insane”, and that he was proud to be representing Australian music at the US’ top music awards ceremony.Flume’s given his Australian fans a bunch of live love this past year, with a grandstand headline tour of Australia, closing out the Amphitheatre at Splendour In The Grass, and playing the ARIAs, and his GRAMMY-award winning album is even more special live.

The rest of the GRAMMYs action is just about to go down in LA, with red carpet arrivals happening now. Drake, Rihanna and Kanye West are all up for awards, as is Chance The Rapper – who was recently in Australia – with an awesome seven nominations including the best new artist category. Beyonce leads from the front with nine nominations, including Album of the Year for Lemonade and Record of the Year for Formation, with Adele up against Bey in both categories too. SIA and Keith Urban are nominated and representing for Oz alongside Flume, too.
