It’s been scientifically proven that there’s a direct correlation between fistpumping and having a lot of money, but the numbers provided by Forbes are pretty astounding. Grabbing the coveted Number. 1 spot was Calvin Harris with $63 million, who’s taken out the title for four years running by continuing to churn out hits like ‘This Is What You Came For’. It seems like his public tiff with Taylor Swift hasn’t taken a huge toll on his bank account – his earnings have dipped by a measly and unnoticeable $3 million – chump change when you consider that the list’s silver medalist, Tiesto is sitting well behind on $38 million. Spare another $10 million and third place goes to David Guetta on $28 million.
From there the list is dominated by big room house producers and experts of energetic electro, spare the Jack Ü combination of Diplo & Skrillex taking out Number. 6 and Number. 7 respectively – perhaps thanks to their extensive work for Justin Bieber throughout the year. With Steve Aoki sitting on the brink of the Top 5, we’re happy to see that he still has enough money for mass inflatable rafts and cakes and whatever else he does in his live show.
See the list of Top 12 earners below, while you should probably take your shirt off and learn how to produce some EDM bangers if you’re looking for a get rich quick scheme. See Forbes’ full analysis here:
