Australian music sensation Genesis Owusu is capping off an exceptional year with an impressive seven nominations for the upcoming 2023 ARIA Awards. His highly anticipated album, STRUGGLER, has garnered widespread critical acclaim and recognition, earning nominations in categories such as Album Of The Year, Best Hip Hop/Rap Release, Best Independent Release, Best Solo Artist, Best Video, Engineer – Best Engineered Release, and Producer – Best Produced Release. Owusu’s album not only boasts a massive fan following with over 93 million streams but also continues to impress global audiences with his innovative production and monumental live performances.

Sharing the spotlight with Owusu are other formidable Australian artists, including G Flip, Dom Dolla, and Troye Sivan, who have each secured six ARIA Award nominations. G Flip’s sophomore album “DRUMMER” has marked a bold new chapter in their career, earning nominations in categories like Album of the Year, Best Australian Live Act, Best Independent Release, Best Rock Album, Best Solo Artist, and Best Video. Troye Sivan, known as a global pop icon, received nominations in categories including Best Pop Release, Best Solo Artist, Song of the Year, Engineer – Best Engineered Release, Producer – Best Produced Release, and Best Dance/Electronic Release. Dom Dolla, who had a monumental year with the collaboration “Eat Your Man” featuring Nelly Furtado, is nominated for Best Australian Live Act, Best Solo Artist, Engineer – Best Engineered Release, Producer – Best Produced Release, Best Dance/Electronic, and Song of the Year.

The 2023 ARIA Awards also mark the 50th anniversary of global hip hop, celebrating its history in Australia. Nominees for Best Hip Hop/Rap Release include Genesis Owusu with “STRUGGLER,” KAHUKX’s “NOTHING TO SOMETHING,” Kerser with “A Gift & A Kers,” ONEFOUR Ft. CG on “Comma’s,” and Tkay Maidza & Flume for “Silent Assassin.” Other notable artists, such as Budjerah, DMA’S, Kylie Minogue, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, and The Teskey Brothers, have also received multiple nominations, promising an exciting and diverse ARIA Awards ceremony on November 15th.
