After staring down the barrel of endless restrictions and cancellations over the past couple of years, the Aussie music scene is getting a bit of help from Brissy brand The Jungle Giants…

And it’s all thanks to Smirnoff Australia, the Seltzer lords linking up with the Brissy four-piece to give back to the nations rising musos, in the form of $1 million of Smirnoff Advertising placements this year.

The winners include all artists from all different genres and backgrounds, many of whom we’ve previously covered on Lifewithoutandy. The full list includes Sydney bedroom pop star Abby Bella May, inner west psychonauts The Lazy Eyes, Salarymen, Adrian Dzuvuke and Super Thick, Jannah Beth and Friendless, Lora, Divebar Youth, Becca Hatch, RHY, Lazywax, Wolfjay and YB.

Speaking on the competition and the countless submissions from local artists, Jungle Giants frontman Sam Hales explains, “We were blown away by the incredible talent of our up and coming artists. It’s so great to see Australia’s music scene get back on track… The thousands of tracks we received were a testament to the enduring talent and passion of our vibrant music scene. It was an absolute privilege to be part of this campaign and we can’t wait to follow these new artists as they forge ahead.”

Definitely a good way to support local artists. Be sure to check out the full list of winners via Smirnoff’s official Spotify, and while you’re at it, check out the interview we did with Jungle Giants last year here.
