Earlier this week, Sydney City Limits threw the ultimate curveball when it made the pretty colossal additions of Future & Young Thug to its debut lineup, hitting Centennial Park on February 24. The two ATL rappers have been at the forefront of the Southern sound, and with both acts cancelling Australian gigs in 2017, the announcement provided a sweet second chance to see them live.
Still, while that’s all good for Sydneysiders set on attending Sydney City Limits, what about the rest of Australia? We could hear the cries from interstate borders, but here comes the news you’ve all been waiting for: Future & Young Thug will be teaming up for a co-headline show during their visit, and the lucky city in question is Brisbane. Yes, Future and Thugger will be taking over Riverstage on Sunday, February 25, in what will surely be one of 2018’s biggest rap shows.
Joining the shows will be two Australian support acts: First up, we have Tkay Maidza who will be bringing her infectious crossover tunes (and unbeatable dance moves) to Riverstage, as well as South-West Sydney’s own B Wise, fresh off the release of one of the year’s best local releases, ‘Feel Something.’
Tickets for the gig will go on sale this Thursday, December 14 from 10:00am – find more information via Live Nation. In the meantime, practice your ad-libs in the mirror:
