BIGSOUND is hitting Brisbane next week, bringing the best of Australia’s music scene together for a few days of panels, gigs and relentless party times.
One gig on the calendar that we’ve got our hearts set on is the Red Bull Sound Select showcase, which has been curated in collaboration with the minds and tastemakers behind Laneway Festival and I OH YOU Records. For the mid-week gig, they’re presenting a lovely line-up to highlight the diversity of our local music scene, headlined by none other than DZ Deathrays. About to embark on a rambunctious international tour with Dune Rats, the headbanging duo will be thrashing their way onstage and bringing out some ~surprise special guests~ along for the ride.
Joining DZ Deathrays will be the soulful and ever-versatile Sampa The Great, guitar pop wonders Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever and South-West Sydney rapper B Wise. Talk about a mixed bill! It’s all going down on Wednesday, September 7th from 5:00pm at The Elephant & Wheelbarrow, and you could win yourself a double pass right here.
