In another batch of bad news for the music world, world renowned festival Glastonbury has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This year would’ve marked it’s 50th anniversary, but now organisers have decided to reschedule the long running event until next year.
More than 200,000 people were set to gather together on Worthy Farm in Somersert from June 24-28, but due to the growing crisis in the UK and the newly introduced government regulations, organisers were left with no other option.
The festival was set to welcome the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Anderson.Paak & The Free Nationals, Charlie XCX and countless others. But sadly, punters are going to have to wait till next year to enjoy their party in the fields, most likely with a different lineup. Luckily, organisers are offering an option for punters to roll their deposit over so they can secure tickets to next years festival. Hopefully this is all over by then…
