Coming in hot this Tuesday morning, beloved festival The Grass Is Greener has today announced their explosive 2022 lineup, along with the dates for their highly-anticipated return. Set to take place at the Gold Coast on October 22nd, the festival will (for the first time ever) head south to Canberra the day after, before stopping in at its birthplace of Cairns on October 29th and finishing in Geelong on October 30th.
As for the artists, the homegrown festival has pulled out all the stops, bringing together an assortment of acts from across the globe and genre landscape; from hip hop superstar Ty Dolla Sign to techno phenom ZHU, homegrown drill lords ONEFOUR, Sticky Fingers and plenty more, it’s looking like the organisers behind the hallowed event have spared no expense for their inaugural return.
To top things off, not only is the festival putting pedal to the metal on the construction side of the event with multiple themed stagers and renewed festival activations, but they’re set to be the nation’s first music festival to incorporate NFTs into their ticketing system, with a limited 1,111 digital artworks set to be up for grabs. Similarly to American and Euro festivals who are already using the tokens as tickets overseas, each NFT will not only grant access to the event, but will also unlock on-site experiences including Lifetime Ticket NFTs, Backstage Pass NFTs and more.
No doubt there’s something for everyone on this lineup. Understandably, tickets are set to fly out the door for this one, so you best get in quick! Pre-sale goes on sale at 8am next Wednesday, with general admission and VIP release going on sale the day after. For now, check out the full The Grass Is Greener lineup for 2022 below.
