The announcement is finally here: Guns N’ Roses will be bringing their huge reunion to Australia on the ‘Not In This Lifetime’ tour, marking the first time the band have stepped on our shores in 23 long years.

The first hints about a GNR tour began when a billboard popped up on Flinders Street in Melbourne advertising a Valentine’s Day show at the MCG – and now this mid-week bombshell has supplemented that original date with colossal stadium shows around the country. Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth will all be treated to the rock legends in all of their leather jacket, long-haired glory – and they’ve been playing pretty extensive and career-spanning sets for all those who were worried about a little too much Chinese Democracy and not enough Appetite for Destruction.

The lineup will consist of Axl Rose, Slash, Duff McKagan, Richard Fortus and Frank Ferrer.

As noted by Music Feeds, supports for Guns N’ Roses’ recent shows have included Australia’s own Wolfmother, which makes them an easy pick for the tour when it kicks off in February 2017. However, acts as eclectic as Skrillex have also joined the stage with GNR – perhaps to please the younger demographic – so who really knows if we’ll be getting a heavy dose of dubstep before hearing ‘Sweet Child O Mine’?

Tickets go on sale from August 26, and while this tour takes place at the country’s largest venues, we’d suggest you get in quick. All the crucial details below:
