One Direction star and pop heartthrob Harry Styles has opened up on being robbed at knifepoint last month, going on radio legend Howard Sterns show to talk the traumatic ordeal.

The incident took place Valentine’s Day of all days, as Styles explained how a group of men circled him and took his cash before asking him to unlock his phone “I pull out my phone and I’m thinking, ‘OK, this is really annoying, but I’ll wipe it and get a new phone,'” Styles continued. “And then the guy’s like, ‘Unlock your phone,’ and the other one pulls his shirt up and he’s got a knife sticking in his pants. I just said, ‘I’m sorry mate, I can’t. I can’t unlock my phone.’ And the guy’s like, ‘You got 10 seconds,’ and he starts counting them down and I’m like, ‘Fuck, am I going to unlock my phone?”

Styles managed to make a run for it towards two cars coming, but neither stopped to help. Luckily the robbers had left the scene by then as “I guess because they had some cash and stuff they ended up just turning around” Styles said.
