Currently in the midst of a massive Aus tour – seriously, check out the dates below as they’re heading everywhere – Byron Bay shredders In Hearts Wake have taken time out to drop into triple j for a heavy re-imagining of Billie Eilish’s 2019 banger ‘All The Good Girls Go To Hell’. Linking up with WAAX’s Maz DeVita, the cover swaps Eilish’s synths for gritty riffs, with the band bringing their trademark guttural screamo energy to the track.
“We chose to cover ‘all the good girls go to hell’ as we appreciate the way that the song cleverly addresses climate change from the perspective of the devil and god.” Said In Hearts Wake vocalist, Jake Taylor. “We connected to the message of the song – humanity exacerbating global warming whilst expecting some sort of divine intervention to save us. Nothing is coming to help, only we can save ourselves.”
