Need it to come out asap…

The world is still reeling after the death of DMX over the weekend, his untimely passing forcing us all to reflect on his life and what he did with his music. Well it appears X isn’t done inspiring us yet, with a close source of the fallen rapper building hype for what will surely be the first of many posthumous albums.

Speaking in a recent interview, Ruff Ryders co-founder Darrin “Dee” Dean and X’s manager Craig Brodhead talked about how DMX and his crew spent four months locked in the studio in Nashville to make the new album, adding “like you probably never heard no music like you heard on this one that we did right now. This is probably one of his great albums. One of the best. It’s a classic, for sure.”

Broadhead went on, saying “DMX was excited about it, he couldn’t wait to promote it and get out there with the music.” That definitely makes sense, especially as the new album would mark his return to the hallowed Def Jam label. Features-wise, it seemed stacked AF too, with X himself teasing artists like Pop Smoke, Snoop Dogg, Alicia Keyes and Lil Wayne to feature on the album, along with many more.

Fingers crossed we get it real soon. For now, watch X’s Verzuz battle with Snoop Dogg last year to be reminded of the total badass was, and get keen for that new album.
