Hot off a critically acclaimed New Zealand tour and his most recent single ‘Yu’, Sydney OG Human Movement is back with some UKG goodness for our Friday morning. Titled ‘House Check’, the new groove sees one of the pillars of the Inner West dance scene linking up with one of the most exciting MCs in Western Sydney right now, Big Skeez.
Starting with eerie synths and a skeletal drum pattern, Human Movement quickly sets a vivid and explosive backdrop for Skeez to let loose on. And of course, the rapper more than rises to the occasion, bursting in on the one-minute mark with fast-paced bars and a fiery delivery. The sonics respond to him in kind, with warbly synths and kinetic drums engaging in a call and response with the ‘Where Yuh From’ rapper who hits back with precision.
The track has been making the rounds across the nation in recent months, featuring in various mixes from dance sensations such as Sam Alfred while being rinsed at a recent Lost Sundays by Melbourne producer, Cassettes For Kids. No doubt it’ll continue to pick up steam as we head into festival season. Human Movement’s new single ‘House Check’ ft. Big Skeez is out now. You can buy/stream it here.
