It’s that time of the year! Corona SunSets is hitting the road once again, and this time they’re bringing along Boo Seeka.

Corona SunSets has been making the most out of summer for the past few seasons, throwing free gigs across the country in stellar venues with free-flowing beers and some of Australia’s best artists. This November & December, they’ll be heading all across the country with Boo Seeka, bringing their synth-heavy, dreamy soundscapes to beachside bars and hotels. It’s kicking off this Thursday at Republica in St Kilda, and will wrap up exactly a month later at Sandstone Point Hotel in Queensland.

Ahead of the extensive tour, we caught up with Boo Seeka to talk about their rapid rise, on-road schedules and what to expect at Corona SunSets. See the dates and details below, and read on:

Boo Seeka dropped their first track in 2015. It’s been a pretty rapid ascent since, do you ever need to take a step back to take it all in?

It’s probably only been since the last few months that we have taken a step back and look back at everything. So much happened so fast in the last three years. Lost count of how many shows we have done.

We hear that you guys met each other only a week before your first track. What was your first impression of each other, and has it changed since?

Yep, in some ways we call it a forced marriage that worked. A mutual friend thought it would work and it did. Was good that we both have a sense of humour which helped create a bond pretty quick that is needed living on the road for three years. So let’s just say the bromance just keeps getting stronger.

Besides the tunes, Boo Seeka have become known for their relentless touring schedule. What’s the key to staying sane and healthy on the road?

We both love food and staying active. We slipped into that stereotypical tour food vibe for the first month or two but knew we couldn’t keep that up with everything in front of us. It’s become a thing to find good food and restaurants in each town/city we go to. Keeping active is also a big thing for us. Surfing, diving all the fun stuff.

Name one on-road habit that does your head in?

Waiting around to play the show. That period of time between soundcheck and showtime really does do my head in. I just want to get up there and vibe out with everyone. It’s like time slows down and it’s so… painful.

What can we expect at your Corona SunSets shows? Any cities/spots you’re particularly looking forward to playing?

Maybe a few surprises, but definitely all the tracks we love seeing everyone singing too. High energy as always and super keen for any after-show antics we are invited to. Every show is going to be epic. We love going to new places and this tour definitely has a few of them.

Five emerging Australian acts who we should be across?

Moving Stills, Reija Lee, King IV, Florian, Midas. Gold.

Can you give us any details into your next project? Is another album on the horizon?

Music wise…So far everything that’s coming out is fun, all about good vibes and messages to myself in a way. Definitely a new album. Pretty excited about that and working on bringing a new experience to the live show… helping people escape for a period of time at a Boo show and enjoy themselves is always a priority of ours.

What’s on the cards for Boo Seeka for the rest of the year, and into 2019?

New single is on the way. Album next year for sure and a shit load of touring as always. Bring on 2019. What more could we ask for.
