Gold Coast, you’re in for a bloody treat.

You know that Old El Paso ad where the family is trying to decide whether to have soft or hard shell tacos and the little girl says, “Why don’t we have both?” That’s what we reckon went down when organisers of Inverted Festival were trying to decide whether to throw a raging punk rock show or an epic action sports event. Today we can confirm that they are doing both and have just dropped a mouthwatering debut lineup.

Taking over The Goldy’s Metricon Stadium on May 1st will be garage rocker Skegss, pub feed fanatics The Chats, punk legends Spiderbait, WAAX, Trophy Eyes and more. Athletes such as Josh Sheehan, Jackson Strong and Lance Russel and more will be competing in Street Skate, BMX Park, BMX Big Air and Freestyle Motocross on the day.

“We’re pumped to get back on stage and perform in front of a crowd once again,” says Skegss frontman Benny Reed. “Inverted Festival seems like it will be the first of its kind in Australia, and we’re stoked to be on the line-up next to our best homegrown Aussie talent.”
