His ability to fuse these genres has made him a go-to remixer, especially evident in his 2011 project We’re New Here, where he reimagined Gil Scott-Heron’s final recordings. It was more than just a remix album—it was a reinvention.

As a solo artist, Jamie xx brought a new kind of depth to his music. Tracks like ‘Under One Roof Raving’ and his 2015 album In Colour mix the pulse of dance music with an atmospheric touch that’s both fresh and familiar, pushing the boundaries of what dance music can be.
