The rapper’s early 2023 shows will mark his first Australian appearance since 2018…

Joey Bada$$ has announced a run of tour dates throughout Australia, scheduled for early next year. The rapper, who’ll be heading down under for the first time in four years, will first take to Freemantle’s Metropolis venue on January 4, before embarking on dates across Brisbane and Sydney the following week (January 6 and January 7).

Next, he’ll wrap up the Australian tour in Melbourne, performing at the city’s Forum venue on January 8. Tickets to the general public go live at midday this Friday (September 16), while Frontier members will get early access tickets this Wednesday (September 14) at 10am. Joey’s 2023 Australian tour was launched in support of 2000, the rapper’s most recent album released in July of this year. The LP marked a long-await sequel to 1999, the 2012 mixtape which marked Joey’s debut release. For the sequel, Joey enlisted collaborations from the likes of Chris Brown and fellow rapper JID, among others.

The rapper’s last visit to Australia was in 2018, when he sold out a string of shows in Sydney and Melbourne in support of his then-new sophomore album, All-Amerikkkan Badass. Elsewhere, he’s comprised the lineup for the 2018 edition of Beyond the Valley, taking to the stage alongside fellow entrants Fisher and Tyler, The Creator.
