Jordan Laser Is Asking Those Sticky Questions In New Tune ‘Holiday’
EP on the way as well...

Jordan Laser returns with her first tune of 2025, ‘Holiday’.

Look, if we’ve got one problem with Sydney singer-songwriter Jordan Laser, it’s that we need her to release music more quickly… but we also understand that crafting gems takes time. So, we’re naturally stoked when today’s release ‘Holiday’ landed on our desks.

The tune, which was produced by Delta Riggs’ Alex Markwell, is this swirling ballad driven by Laser’s vocals, which sway between moody and ethereal. Pump up the volume on it and it’s near impossible not to get caught up in the spell she’s casting – and my gawd, that pre-chorus perfectly lays the foundation for the synthy storm that comes after.

It feels like the words have been written from this position of being gaslit, where she’s questioning everything in a relationship because of the other person’s actions. From a word nerd lens, we gotta say that “Holiday” is a bloody great metaphor…

“Holiday is about being with someone who thinks the grass might be greener somewhere else,” Laser says. “Being in that place makes you question everything. Does this person want me, or just an escape? Am I the destination, or just a pit-stop along the way? That kind of feeling.”

The tune comes with a clip, directed by Sami Swilks, that captures the sentiments of the song perfectly. Here, Laser’s out in the wilderness, following along a largely faceless man, who may or may not be there. Is this thing happening, or not? That’s the question they’re asking.

The track follows last year’s ‘Howling’ and is the second single from an upcoming EP that we are praying comes bloody soon. Follow her on IG and make sure you don’t miss it!
