While his last Australian visit consisted of a private island show for VIPs and the most dedicated hardcore Beliebers, it looks like his holiness Justin Bieber is coming back to Australia for a bigger arena tour in 2017.

Not-so-subtle clues about an incoming tour from the pop megastar came courtesy of Frontier, who uploaded this picture to Twitter and an accompanying hashtag referencing his 2015 monster hits ‘Where Are U Now’ and ‘What Do You Mean’ – as well as a website link with a countdown leading up to the early hours of Tuesday, October 4:

Then came a similar announcement from radio hosts Kyle & Jackie O, who also point to an announcement on Tuesday morning, with further information suggesting that Bieber will be back to play some headline dates. Watch their Instagram video below with information courtesy of a very dramatic voiceover:

Following the widespread acclaim and popularity of Purpose, it feels like teenage girls aren’t the only ones squealing with excitement – and Bieber may have well and truly surpassed his scrawny teen image and gotten himself a seat at the cool kids’ table. We’ll wait until Tuesday with baited breath, but it looks like big news is coming for Australian Beliebers. You’d better get those clicking fingers ready, because this will be sold out by the time you finish reading this article.
