The desert festival is set to kick off in less than two weeks…

It’s been a wild couple of months for Kanye West, the notorious rapper causing all matters of controversy in the public eye. From starting a very public online feud with ex-wife Kim Kardashian and her boyfriend Pete Davidson to, well, starting another very public online feud with 20-year-old pop star Billie Eilish (we could keep going), it seems the man once heralded as the future GOAT of hip hop is now becoming more known for his beefs than his art.

As a result, he’s been booted from Instagram, uninvited from award shows and essentially become public enemy number one. But the latest withdrawal from West is one of his own choosing, with the ‘Donda’ rapper now dropping out of Coachella.

Set to kick off in just under two weeks, the highly-anticipated Los Angeles festival had West locked in to headline, along with the likes of Harry Styles and Billie Eilish. No doubt things have been particularly tense between West and the latter, the ‘All Falls Down’ rapper demanding an apology from Eilish following her criticising Travis Scott and his handling of the Astroworld tragedy earlier this year. He was obviously unsuccessful, but despite his failed attempt, it seems Eilish isn’t the motivating factor behind his Coachella withdrawal, but rather, Travis Scott himself.

It’s all still speculation at this stage, but according to sources close to West and the festival, he was planning to bring Scott on-stage with him, in what would’ve been his first festival performance since Astroworld. Understandably, festival organisers weren’t too keen on the idea, prompting West to pull out. No word yet on who is set to replace him, but one thing is for certain, it will definitely not be Travis Scott.
