After missing its reported release date on Friday, the ever-so controversial Kanye West took to Twitter to drop the album cover for his upcoming record DONDA. Named after his late mother Donda West, the album is set to be the follow up to 2019’s Jesus Is King, and comes at a crazy time for the ‘Ultralight Beam’ hitmaker. After a disastrous presidential rally as well as a slew of now-deleted tweets attacking the Kardashian family, it seems unfathomable to think West could drop an album right now, but apparently he can.
The album art is pretty sick tbh, featuring an infrared orange/ red scheme that represent the sun and the moon, while neon greens and hot purples take shape to represent a mountain and skies. The scene also features the silhouettes of three figures, seemingly walking on the air against a splattered backdrop.

Yeezy announced the new album for July 24 just a week ago, and has followed up the announcement with various versions of the tracklisting. So far we’ve gotten no album, but fingers crossed we get a new release date sometime soon.
