When Kanye West interrupted Taylor Swift back at the MTV VMAs back in 2009, he created one of the most controversial yet undoubtedly iconic moments in the history of the awards show, and kick-started a tumultuous feud with the pop icon that has stretched well into 2016.

It’s been a hot and cold relationship between Mr. West and Ms. Swift – with the latest chapter of the saga relating to Yeezy’s latest single ‘Famous’, where he raps “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/Why? I made that bitch famous.” Moreover, the video featured a likeness of Swift lying in bed completely nude. With Swift blasting the song publicly, footage emerged of a phone call between the two where Swift seemingly gave consent to at least some of the song’s lines – footage released by West’s wife, Kim Kardashian. It’s a saga so perfect that it just might be scripted, but nonetheless, the whole world is glued into the MTV VMAs in 2016 where West is slated to perform.

Despite having a huge amount of ‘down’ votes on YouTube, the controversial ‘Famous’ clip is up for ‘Video of the Year’ and ‘Best Male Video’ – and seven years later, a ‘source’ has claimed that Kanye West will use the platform to take the feud to new heights by performing ‘Famous’ and taking shots at Swift. They also suggested that Swift’s bitter ex-boyfriend, Calvin Harris could join the stage after being snapped alongside Kim Kardashian at Jennifer Lopez’ birthday last week.

Speaking to HollywoodLife, they said “Kanye is looking to do ‘Famous’ live on stage at the VMAs and would love to really rip into Taylor Swift during the performance… Also as we all know, he is bound to say anything when the mic is in his hand and he is ready to make many statements about many things including any stuff about Taylor. And if Calvin wants to join the stage with him, count Kanye being very interested into that as well,” they said.

The MTV VMAs are scheduled for August 28, and if his track record is anything to go by, we’re expecting yet another unforgettable Kanye West moment when he takes the stage:
