Capping off a busy year with one of his best releases to date, Brisbane rapper Kei Leeza packs a lot into the two and half minute track. It follows 2019 singles ‘On My Name’, ‘Me, Myself and I’ and ‘Most Of Time’, and once again demonstrates Kei Leeza’s strong handle on writing a hook that sticks. He says, “‘Notice’ is a statement track about cementing myself not only in my city but in the scene for years to come. I’m proud of where I’m from and I’m proud to have named the city ‘the 4K’. Now it’s a real movement on the rise that has a presence in the whole landscape [of Australian hip-hop] moving forward, and it means the most to be at the forefront of that.”
Confident on and off the mic, he asserts himself strongly on the track, highlighted by a playful reference to his Nike playlist sync cleverly arranged in a dizzying spell of cheques cashed and boxes checked. Give ‘Notice’ a spin below and keep up to date with Kei Leeza via Instagram here.
