How is a human being even capable of being so limber…

In between walking runways across the globe, attending the MET Gala and cementing himself as one of the most promising young actors in the country, Aussie singer-songwriter Keiynan has found time to put out a slew of delicious R&B singles that hit that universal sweet spot. From the emotive ‘Come Papi’ and ‘Lessons’ to the seductive ‘Crash’, he’s a man already in control of his sound and now, he’s released a silky video for his latest single, ‘Whine n Cry’.

Filmed in the serene plains of Indonesia, the clip follows Keiynan as he dances through lush green fields interspersed with shots of him going through everyday life, in what’s a rare snapshot into the globe-trotting creative. His dance moves are just as silky as the sonics, with Keiynan ducking, weaving (and almost levitating) to his heart’s content, as traverses the realms of Afrobeat, R&B and pop with ease.

Filmed on a lone iPhone, the clip has this quality of reliability you seldom find in music videos these days, as Keiynan strips back the glitz and glam for a simple day in his simple, yet totally bonkers and otherworldly, life.

Speaking on his latest foray in front of the camera, Keiynan explains, “I’m pretty proud to share this one, what started as an exercise of play became a whole music video, and it’s my 2nd one shot on holiday with just a phone. Indonesia was so beautiful that we couldn’t help but capture it and I had to dance. I think it’s so feel good for that reason.”

It’s a lush offering from the rising international export that not only adds to his growing filmography, but showcases his versatility as both a singer and performer. The video for Keiynan’s new single ‘Whine n Cry’ is out now. Be sure to check it out above.
