Sydney rapper Kwame just snatched up the triple j Unearthed Artist of the Year award, and heralds his upward trajectory on his aptly-titled new single ‘Clouds.’

Premiering via Beats 1 Radio with Zane Lowe, the brief banger gets straight to the point with charismatic, bouncing energy. And with multiple massive festival performances and support slots for everyone from Skepta to RL Grime, Kwame has plenty to be happy about: “I cannot wait to see people scream when I play it at shows because the meaning behind the line is the goodness and rare qualities that we possess as individuals than can’t be seen at surface appearance,” he says of the track. “We need to realise the power we all hold – we’re headed for the clouds, it’s only up from here.”
